Our Story
Operating on Blackwood Park, Ewyn Speckle Park was founded through the shared vision of long-time cattlemen Vaughn Johnston and David Kerber. After years of research and hands-on experience, they recognised the potential of the Speckle Park breed and formed a partnership grounded in quality, innovation, and stewardship.
From the outset, two qualities defined the breed, exceptional eating quality and the ability to thrive in tough conditions while converting feed efficiently. A decade on, these traits have only grown in value, continuing to meet the needs of modern graziers while delivering a consistently premium beef experience.
For six generations, the Altmann family has raised livestock on Blackwood Park, developing a deep connection to the land. Its fertile soil, reliable rainfall, and ideal environment make it perfectly suited to producing high-quality beef.
